Its been a while since i've actually written one of these.  Its been even longer since I've taken the time to just sit, relax and let my creative juices flow.  My original plan was to produce one haiku a day.  I realize now the major problem with a goal like that is producing is exactly what I'd be doing.  Oh sure i could churn out a bunch of poetry on schedule, but they'd be nothing more than pretty words with no meaning, superficial.  I would much rather spontaneously be inspired and then breathe life into that "seed" of inspiration, giving birth to something that at the very least is worthwhile to me.  I suppose i need more dedication.  Instead of just getting through the daily grind, i need to observe the 6 degrees of separation flowing all around me.  

On another note i've recently started reading Soseki Natsume's "I am a Cat" its a collection of tales following a nameless cat as he observes the intricacies of human nature.  A fitting tale for one such as myself indeed.  Perhaps being so intimately immersed in someone else's ideas will rekindle the flame of inspiration in my own heart.
